Air Fryers are one of the most popular kitchen appliances these days. One of their great features is you can use them to make a complete dinner with just an air fryer and your microwave. No dirtying pots and pans that need to be washed. Just 2 appliances and a few dishes for the dishwasher. Simple! Today’s meal is a fancy feeling, but super simple air fryer frozen salmon, quinoa pilaf, and air fryer broccoli that can serve two.
Eating a home-cooked meal consisting of mostly whole foods is the best way to nourish your body and save money.
This can be done using your oven, stovetop, instant pot, or any other way you cook food. It is not limited just to the air fryer. However, I have found the air fryer to be helpful in cooking food faster, with less cleanup, and needing less attention during the cooking process. I call that an improvement from using the stovetop!
Remember, this meal can be customized to your taste! If you are not a broccoli fan then add in frozen peas (microwaved) or canned green beans (microwaved) instead! You do you! Here are the main ingredients I used in this dinner.

Air Fryer Frozen Salmon Dinner for Two!
Equipment
- 1 Air Fryer
- 1 Microwave
Ingredients
- 2 Each 6 oz frozen salmon filets
- 1/2 tbsp Melted butter or margarine
- 1 tsp Lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp Garlic and herb seasoning like Ms. Dash
- 1 bag Ready to eat microwave quinoa and brown rice
- 2 cups fresh chopped broccoli
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp Garlic and herb seasoning like Ms. Dash
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 390 degrees. While it is preheating, remove your fish from the packaging.
- Once the air fryer is preheated, lay the salmon on the skin side down and set the timer for 15 minutes. Try to keep the salmon on ½ of the basket because we will be adding the broccoli to the basket shortly.
- Chop the broccoli into small florets and toss in a bowl with olive oil and seasoning.
- When there are 7 minutes left on the air fryer timer, add seasoned broccoli to the basket.
- Mix lemon juice, melted butter, and seasoning together. With 4 minutes left, open the basket quickly and brush seasoning on the salmon and continue cooking.
- With 2 minutes left on the timer, microwave quinoa according to the package directions.
- When the timer is done, check fish and broccoli to ensure they are done. Brush remaining butter and lemon juice mix on salmon.
- Serve 1 salmon filet with ½ of the quinoa package and 1 cup of broccoli.
Notes
We have a delicious meal that takes 20 minutes to prepare from freezer to plate, and costs less than most single burgers at fast food places. I say this recipe is a winner all around!
This meal combination is a great example of how cooking doesn’t have to be complicated. Yes, there is a time and place for making Grandma’s tomato sauce or stew recipe that cooks all day long, but for most people, we just want something delicious and quick after a long day of work. Save Grandma’s recipes for a weekend treat!

Making this for dinner can easily save you $15 from going out or grabbing takeout for dinner. We have seen how small choices can add up, so here is a quick way to get started on making those small positive changes and putting your money to work!

An airfryer is one thing I truly enjoy using. This recipe is simple and also looks tasty. I like that there isn’t much hassle to it, which is what I’ve been doing lately for meals. Really great.
I found that to be true too! It is just simpler to cook in the air fryer than oven or stove. I am so glad it works well for you!
I’m so excited to try this, never thought to make Salmon the air fryer, guess I thought it might dry out. But this looks absolutely delish so I’m going to give it a go!
It is such a quick cooking time that it doesn’t dry it out. Plus a little shot of butter and lemon juice at the end adds some moisture back in with the flavor. Let me know how it works for you!
I have never thought of using an air fryer for fish. I’m not a huge fan of cooked salmon but I guess it would work well with other fish like cod?
Yes, I would think that cod or another white fish would work just as well. I would cook it just a little less time because the filets are not quite as thick as salmon tends to be. IF you try it out, let me know how it works!
I’ve seen so many people cooking fish in their air fryer. This is definitely something I need to try. What a delicious and easy way to make a beautiful meal!

I have always been scared to air fry seafood, but this looks delicious and simple. May have to give it a chance. Thanks for sharing!
I was skeptical too because I hate dry salmon, but it turned out great! I would err on the side of underdone, and then check it with a fork in the thickest part to see if it flakes before taking it out of the air fryer. I hope it is wonderful!
This looks delicious! I love Salmon.. and just recently got an air fryer.
