Meatballs are my favorite secret weapon in putting a well-balanced meal on the table fast! Those little meaty balls of protein-filled deliciousness cook quickly and are so versatile to use when you think beyond just spaghetti and meatballs! For dinner tonight, check out this teriyaki flavored dinner for two using air fryer frozen meatballs!
Meatballs come in so many flavors and protein combos. It is easy to keep on hand since they come frozen and you can portion them out with just what you need. They are small, so they cook quickly and you can find a meatball to go with any dinner idea. Here are some of my favorites:
- Chicken teriyaki and pineapple meatballs with a teriyaki or sweet chili sauce
- Beef meatballs with a BBQ sauce as a faster meatloaf substitute
- Turkey meatballs cooked with onions and beef gravy
- Chicken meatballs used in a classic meatball stew or white bean soup
- Beef or veal meatballs cooked in a classic Swedish cream sauce (an Ikea favorite!)
- Chicken meatballs covered in buffalo sauce for the big game
- Of course, you can’t forget the classic beef meatballs with spaghetti noodles and sauce! Classic!

There are so many ways meatballs can be easily incorporated into your meals! Check out this simple meal pairing of Aidell’s Chicken Teriyaki & Pineapple Meatballs, microwaved jasmine rice, and frozen peas, topped with my favorite teriyaki sauce. It all comes together as quickly as you can cook those meatballs!

- The cost per serving is $5.85. The meatballs were the most expensive part of this meal.
- Keep this meal feeling fresh by swapping the sides, choosing various types of meatballs, and sauces to add different flavors to the mix.
- All meatballs cook well in the air fryer, so they can be used to start many different dinner options with some experimenting!
See how simple and quick this air fryer frozen meatball recipe can be! Plus, it is totally customizable to use with whatever you have on hand! Swap broccoli for the veggie, or use some frozen stir fry veggies that you can microwave or saute on the stove for 10 minutes while the meatballs are cooking. Swap the jasmine rice for microwavable brown rice or frozen fried rice like we used here! The possibilities are endless with these air fryer frozen meatballs!
This meal combination is a great example of how cooking doesn’t have to be complicated. Yes, there is a time and place for making Grandma’s tomato sauce or stew recipe that cooks all day long, but for most people, we just want something delicious and quick after a long day of work. Save Grandma’s recipes for a weekend treat!

Making this for dinner can easily save you $15 from going out to a local restaurant or grabbing Panda Express takeout for dinner. We have seen how small choices can add up, so here is a quick way to get started on making those small positive changes and putting your money to work!
