Equipment

  • 1 Air Fryer
  • 1 Microwave

Ingredients

  • 5 each Frozen Potstickers
  • 1 package Tai Pei Frozen Fried Rice

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees.
  • Remove frozen potstickers from the package and coat liberally with olive oil or another neutral tasting oil like vegetable oil. Be liberal, this is what keeps the wrapper from drying out when cooking.
  • Place potstickers in the air fryer so they are not touching, and set the timer for 8 minutes. Check after 5 minutes and see if you need to flip or brush with more oil.
  • Prepare fried rice in the microwave according to the package instructions.
  • When the potstickers are finished, plate the rice and top it with potstickers. Feel free to dress it up with soy sauce, siracha, or green onions for an extra flair!

Notes

  • This dinner is only one serving. The calories are 770
  • The cost for this dinner is $4.25 based on the medium cost of living grocery store purchase price.
  • This dinner is so flexible depending on your tastes. Add sauce or other toppings like soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, green onions, hoisin sauce, or anything else that sounds good from your fridge!
  • Fried rice is the best meal for fighting food waste! Before you start check your fridge to see if there are any leftover veggies or meat that you can add to the fried rice!
  • Substitute your favorite Chinese finger foods in place of the potstickers if they are not your favorite. This recipe would work great with egg rolls, wontons, or spring rolls too!
